Because of their unique technical properties, glass tiles need special installation instructions. For instance, a smoothly-applied white adhesive backing is recommended for translucent tiles. Cracking is also more apparent on glass tiles, so a crack suppression membrane may need to be installed underneath it. And, because of the relative hardness of glass, there are special cutting and drilling considerations. We have put together instructions that are standard for most glass tiles. Some manufacturers may recommend deviations from these standard instructions, depending upon the nature of the tile. Consult your dealer for any special information.
